I dived in St Maarten in October 2005. After a few recreational dives in the island with Dive Safaris, I decided to join Brazilian instructor Jeferson, who had done over 500 shark feeding dives in St Maarten since year 2000. It was a very educational experience spending 44 minutes with six Caribbean Reef Sharks and Sharp Nose Sharks in their natural habitat at a depth of 18 meters; there was a 3-meter long shark, two 2-meter long ones and three 1.5-meter long sharks. Visibility was around 15 meters and water temperature was 29-30°C on all dives.
