Malta underwater

I dived in Malta in June 2007. This country is located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea between Italy and Tunisia. I dived in the island of Gozo and wish I had stayed much longer; the topside and underwater geology were both beautiful, as were the deep (40-meter) caves and the many shore dives. Richie King and his staff at Scuba Kings were very friendly and accommodating, really great people to dive with. Underwater visibility was around 20 meters and water temperature was 19°C. I saw several Barracuda (Sphyraena mediterranean), Horned bream (Diplodus cervinus), many 10-cm long cleaner Parapandal prawn (Plesionika narval), huge Spaghetti worms, Hamlets, Lizardfish, Anthias, several species of little colorful wrasse, Beaded fireworms, Hamlets, Sea stars and Urchins. The funny thing to note was that underwater hunting with scuba had been prohibited in Malta that very week, and when we saw two guys doing it we immediately called the police.
