Paulo M. Raymundo works as an independent consultant to the oil industry doing formation evaluation and recruiting young scientists and engineers from top universities around the world. He received his BS in electronics engineering in 1978 and BS in electrical engineering in 1979 both from UFBa, Brazil. After being recruited among ITA graduates, the Brazilian version of MIT, he joined Schlumberger in 1980 to become the first Brazilian to be offered an overseas assignment with the world's leading supplier of technology and information solutions to the oil and gas industry. Paulo has held several engineering, managerial and marketing positions with Schlumberger Surenco, Schlumberger Trinidad, Schlumberger Technical Services, Schlumberger Middle East and Schlumberger Overseas in a number of assignments in South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Europe. Currently living in Brazil, he spends at least a couple of months per year traveling the world.
