1P/Halley

The photo on the left was taken on 22 March 1986 at 06:15 UT and shows the comet with a short tail. The second photo was taken on 9 Apr 1986 at 04:30 UT when the comet was in the Norma region of the Milky Way, which could be seen with the naked eye from downtown. I took both photos in Salvador, Brazil with a 50mm f/1.7 Pentax Lens on Kodak CF 1000 negative film with exposure times of 35 seconds. By then, we had taken over 70 photos of this comet since 17 Nov 1985.
 

C/1996 B2 (Hyakutake)

We have taken 95 photos of this comet. A 75-205mm f/3.8 Vivitar Lens working at 205mm on Kodak Ektapress Plus 1600 negative film was used for exposures of 120 seconds, unless otherwise noted.
